Pirates
After watching the first 5 games of the season, I dont know how I feel about the Pirates. I am definitely m ore optimistic this year than in the past. They main thing for them is to be consistent. Their line-up is talented enough to win them some games but can they hit consistently? Their pitching staff I feel is not good enough for them to make the playoffs but they need to be consistent too for the Pirates to have a shot at .500

I say give them a little more time. If there is anything we should truly worry about, it is the relievers. They have blown the two losses and need to pick it up. But I believe this could be the year. We have all the tools to be a winning club so let's finally win!
ReplyDeleteI think every Bucs fan should be happy with 70 wins this year. A lot of people don't relaize just how far away this team is from the big time. Their pitching is awful, and their young talent is bound to hit some pretty low points this season, as is the case with most young talent.
ReplyDeleteI definitely have a little more hope than last year. I don't think that they will be .500 this season. I love being hopeful, but I'm also realistic. The Buccos will have a winning season when the MLB renegotiates their CBA and a salary cap and floor are instituted. Force Nutting into spending some money.
ReplyDeleteThe pirates are doing OK so far but it is still very early. I think that they have good talent right now at the major league level, I just hope they dont trade it away for prospects.
